I'm looking forward to making some time to get back into my painting/mixed media art for the remainder of the summer. I've been playing around with some of my photography from my South Africa trip a few years ago and can't wait to do some more….

I'll still be creating & selling jewellery, but I'll also be getting my hands dirty with gel medium, image transfer & collage elements, bits of wood and of course gorgeous dabs of buttery paint colours… It's always so interesting how my jewellery effects my painting and my painting affects my jewellery and other creations.  Also hoping to make time for some of my other creative passions…. Glass (mosaics etc…), fabric (textile art), paper (greeting cards etc…)… Too many ideas, too many supplies…. Too little time!!!!

I've just spent the past 6 months revamping my entire brand and creating lots of beautiful new jewellery to showcase this fall/winter. I'm very proud and excited to finally share my  fabulous new logo and website (www.nicolekagan.com) with you all.

I also now have a stunning new display created from reclaimed barnboard that will make it's debut at shows this holiday season!

On that note… This is a 'MARK IT IN YOUR CALENDARS' notice for the three shows I'll be participating in this holiday season.

Celebrated Pottery Artist Gabrielle Kauffman (www.gkstoneware.com) hosts a wonderful annual studio sale in her gorgeous home studio. This year there will also be TWO jewellery designers showcasing work (myself & Lesley Fisher (www.tanglestone.com).

Live jazz performed by Peter Kauffman & refreshments will be served.

:: Lisa Canning (INTERIOR DESIGNER) of CANNING INTERIORS helped me design an incredible new display for shows.

:: Stephen Lindsay (INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER/CARPENTER) of URBAN PRODUCT is currently slaving away in his studio building my fabulous new display.

:: Ian Milne (SIGN DESIGNER) of IAN MILNE DESIGN is creating a kick-ass sign showcasing my new logo to go above my display.

:: Melissa Agostino (GRAPHIC DESIGNER) of SALI TABACCHI created a fabulous new logo & new business cards that capture the ‘organic elegance’ of my design aesthetic.

:: Brad Ney (WEB DEVELOPER) of FRESH NEVER FROZEN DESIGNS has been a total pleasure to work with in creating a brand new website that I am so pleased with.

Finding & working with passionate people that are amazing at what they do and are a pleasure to work with is KEY.
